Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steve Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yamapi Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan has chosen Daite Senorita as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan tries to bum rush Wright with a series of wild strikes but Wright uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Wright swats away the attempt to clinch by Chan.
Chan misses with a head kick.
Wright throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Chan's head.
Chan jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Chan misses with an uppercut. Wright saw that one coming.
Wright avoids the head kick by Chan.
Chan throws a head kick that misses.
Chan looks for the body kick but Wright saw that one coming.
Chan chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Wright blocks a low kick nicely.
Chan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wright's calf.

and Wright counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Chan is lucky that one didn't land flush.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wright drives through with a takedown into guard.
Chan looking for a sweep. Not yet Chan, not yet.
Wright won't allow Chan to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Wright drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chan!

Chan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Wright rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Chan's guard! Nice work there by Wright!
Chan looks gassed!

Wright is posturing up here but Chan has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Wright tries to roll out but it's too tight and Wright has to tap! Slick submission there by Chan!
