The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanner shoots in looking for a takedown. Mayweather Jr tries to sprawl out of it but Tanner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mayweather Jr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tanner drives through with a takedown into Mayweather Jr's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Tanner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Tanner gets to his feet. Mayweather Jr looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Mayweather Jr thows a body kick. Tanner tries to catch it but that hurt him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mayweather Jr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mayweather Jr lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mayweather Jr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tanner sprawls well initially but Mayweather Jr persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mayweather Jr is looking for a kimura here.
Tanner is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mayweather Jr's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mayweather Jr's back!

Tanner has the hooks in. Mayweather Jr is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Tanner passes his arm under Mayweather Jr's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Mayweather Jr taps!
