Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Harris (ranked 23030 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Matousek (ranked 6910 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Matousek is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Matousek!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matousek throws a half hearted mid kick.
Matousek looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Harris swats away the attempt to clinch by Matousek.
Harris is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Matousek shoots in for a double leg but Harris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
No luck for Matousek with that takedown attempt.
Harris throws a quick counter head kick but Matousek was just out of range.
Matousek throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Harris connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick misses from Matousek.
Harris was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Harris feints and as Matousek raises his hands in defense, Harris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Harris looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Harris's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Harris seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Matousek for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Harris pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Matousek is keeping the position for now.
Matousek is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Harris checks a leg kick.
Harris half committed to a counter leg kick.
Matousek tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Harris paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Matousek shoots in for a takedown but Harris shows good takedown defense.
As Matousek tries to get set, Harris tries to push him back and clinch up but Matousek manages to avoid the attempt.
Marcus Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacob Matousek.

Harris moves into range and clinches up with Matousek.

Harris breaks from the clinch.

Harris darts in and clinches Matousek up against the cage.
Matousek trying to stall but Harris improves his position.
Harris can't find room to land a body shot as Matousek controls the action.

Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Matousek takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Harris throws a sloppy head kick and Matousek moves out of range easily.
Matousek tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Harris gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Harris breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Harris moves into the clinch.

Harris has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Matousek is trying to keep an underhook but Harris manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Matousek tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harris swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Harris drops down looking for a counter takedown but Matousek sprawls and moves away.
Matousek keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Harris.

Harris fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Matousek sprawls well initially but Harris persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Harris stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Harris moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris drops down looking for an ankle pick but Matousek pulls his leg out and moves away.
Matousek is breathing heavily.

Harris shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Matousek napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Harris happy to just control the position for now.
Further stalling from Harris.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Harris is stinking the place up with his stalling.
Harris has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Matousek takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harris in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Harris is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Matousek can do to turn this around?
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Harris decides to stand back up.

Harris throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Matousek was covering up waiting for the punch and Harris finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Harris passes Matousek's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Harris continues to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Harris's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Harris rushes Matousek and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Harris works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harris not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Matousek looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Harris passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
More hug and hope from Harris.
Matousek takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Harris lands a nice short elbow.
Harris looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Harris looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Harris is looking to advance position but Matousek won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Harris seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Matousek tries to get to full guard but Harris has control of the leg.
Harris perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Harris misses with a wild body shot.
Harris moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromMatousek.
Matousek is looking to clinch.
Harris looks to score with a jab to the body but Matousek is just out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Harris shoots in and gets a takedown into Matousek's guard.
Harris controls from within his opponent's guard.
Harris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Harris pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Matousek is keeping the position for now.
Harris not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Matousek looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Marcus Harris is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Matousek can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Harris controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Harris ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Matousek moves away.
Jacob Matousek has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Harris steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Matousek.

Marcus Harris showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Harris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
