Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Lane (ranked 5325 p4p, 371 weight class) and Jay Brown (ranked 7008 p4p, 392 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Brown's choice of entrance music: Hate me now by nas. Jay Brown has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Brown!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lane looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Brown is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kyle Lane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brown wants it to stay on the feet.
A little jabbing left from Brown on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Brown connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lane's hands.

It looks like Kyle Lane has been cut.
Lane is breathing heavily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brown is defended easily by Lane.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lane as he avoids it easily.
Brown closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lane circles away.
Kyle Lane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Brown.
Nice takedown defense from Lane. No joy for Brown on that attempt.

and Brown counters with a stiff right hand.
Brown throws a right and a left that both miss.

Brown misses with a takedown attempt - Lane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lane fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brown sprawls well initially but Lane persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Brown is looking to control Lane's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brown avoid being mounted?
Brown might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lane haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Lane thows a huge punch but Brown dodges it nicely.
Brown gets full guard.
Lane lands a couple of digs.

Brown has his foot on Lane's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lane works his way back into a safe position though.

Brown escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lane gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Brown is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Brown seems to be looking for submissions.

Brown looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Brown is trying for a kimura here. Lane looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Brown wins by kimura!

Jay Brown decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
