And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Michael Benitoy!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Winston Howard and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies delivers a nice body kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Davies is trying to break the clinch but Benitoy is controlling him.

Benitoy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Davies scores with a one two! Benitoy had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Davies knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Benitoy on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Benitoy tries to free his leg and advance position but Davies is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Davies is looking to control Benitoy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Davies avoid being mounted?

Let's hope that Benitoy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
