Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Allimar Sho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Jones!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sho wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Jones misses with an uppercut.
Jones takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Marcus Jones has been cut.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sho.
Sho throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones misses with an uppercut.

Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Sho is defending well.
Jones tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Sho.

Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sho sees it coming and defends easily.

Jones is looking for a kimura but Sho is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jones to get the leverage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones prevents Sho from standing back up.

Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sho closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sho prevents Jones from improving his position.
Sho is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Jones looks gassed!
Sho wants to stand up but Jones has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Sho won't allow Jones to sweep him here.
Sho knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.
Jones looking to control but Sho passes into half guard.
Jones missing with punches from the bottom.
Jones trying to control but Sho postures up.
Sho wants to stand but Jones has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Sho is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones wants to get back to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sho swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sho throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sho ducks under a wild hook from Jones.

Sho closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Jones tries to pull guard but Sho won't allow it.

Sho breaks the clinch.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sho swivels and escapes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sho swinging wilding here.
Sho wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Jones tries for a takedown but Sho circles away easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Allimar Sho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Jones.
Sho connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Sho lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Sho tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sho throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sho looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones shoots and misses
and Sho makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Jones really felt that one!
Sho tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.
Nice sprawl there from Sho as Jones shoots in.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Jones throws a head kick that Sho semi-blocks.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Sho counters by clinching up.

Sho unloads a knee to the mid-section. Jones lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sho scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Jones is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Sho here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Jones manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sho's best efforts.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Sho is very close to passing his half guard.
Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jones looking for a sweep. Not yet Jones, not yet.

Jones working for a triangle but Sho defends it easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sho has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from.

Jones working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Sho has passed into half guard!
Sho prevents Jones from improving his position.
Sho seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sho's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sho's back!
Sho prevents Jones from getting a body triangle.
Sho covering up well under a barage of strikes.

Jones is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Sho defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Jones has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Sho has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Jones lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.

Jones misses with punches from the back.
Jones misses with a punch to the head.

Sho is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Jones is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Sho has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Allimar Sho will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


A head kick misses from Sho.

Sho has managed to clinch.
The referee calls for Sho to work.
Sho is trying to stall.
Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sho walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones trying to control the action but Sho is working from the bottom.
Sho managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jones.

Jones lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Sho wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sho keeps working.

Sho is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sho, who protects the arm well.
Jones prevents Sho from escaping the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jones is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sho knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Sho is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Marcus Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Sho is trying to get back to his feet.
Jones trying to control the action but Sho is working from the bottom.
Jones throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Allimar Sho is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Jones creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sho sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

And that's the end of the fight!
Marcus Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Sho has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
