Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Abbot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas MacArthur!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbot scores with a jab to the jaw.
Frank Abbot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
MacArthur is looking to clinch.
Abbot will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
MacArthur tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abbot swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Abbot bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
MacArthur misses with a takedown attempt - Abbot sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
No joy there for Abbot, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
MacArthur darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
MacArthur is pressing down on Abbot's thigh, looking to free his foot. Abbot is holding on for now.
MacArthur stops Abbot from getting back to his feet.
MacArthur seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Abbot does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Well, if MacArthur is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Abbot makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Abbot throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Abbot lands with a nice combination. MacArthur backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Douglas MacArthur has been cut.
Frank Abbot is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No luck for MacArthur with that takedown attempt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Abbot darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
MacArthur is rocked!
MacArthur tries to clinch up but Abbot circles away and keeps his distance.
Abbot cracks MacArthur with a right hand to the side of the head.
MacArthur is still on wobbly legs! Can Abbot finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Abbot throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends MacArthur stumbling backwards into the cage! MacArthur bounces back off the cage towards Abbot, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Abbot lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Abbot celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Frank Abbot!
