Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Liu Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Collin McRidger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McRidger drives through and clinches with Chang against the cage.

Chang's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

McRidger wants the takedown. Chang is fighting it off but McRidger persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Chang's guard against the cage.
Chang is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

McRidger stands and throws Chang's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Chang is breathing heavily.
McRidger connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Chang some visible discomfort.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chang really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McRidger is putting a hurting on Chang here, landing some big shots from side control.
Chang tries to get back to half guard but can't.
You can see the frustration on Chang's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
McRidger misses with the ground and pound.
McRidger throws a strike aimed at the side of Chang's head but Chang avoids it well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

McRidger lands a strong strike to the head of Chang. That's dazed him! McRidger looking to finish here. Chang is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - McRidger lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
