The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spartan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Laurent moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Laurent tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Spartan tries to clinch there but Laurent circles away.
Spartan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Laurent fails with the takedown.
Spartan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Spartan drops Laurent with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Laurent looks back up at him and smiles so Spartan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Julius Laurent has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Spartan cracks a nice hook into Laurent's ribs.
Laurent is breathing heavily.
Spartan fails with a takedown attempt.
Spartan connects with a stiff jab that staggers Laurent - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
