Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Laslo Muller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucius Fern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fern stalks Muller and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Muller's face. Muller staggers backwards, shaken.

Fern has closed the distance and engaged Muller in a clinch.
Muller is trying to break free.
Muller wants to get back to striking at distance but Fern won't allow it.
Fern has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Muller avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Muller lands with a left to the head.

Fern breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Muller gets caught flat footed, as Fern shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Fern decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Muller, up you get!

Fern stands up and beckons Muller to his feet.

Fern manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Muller has gone for a leg lock! Fern slips out almost immediately though and dives into Muller's guard.

Muller is trying to control Fern's posture but Fern avoids it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Fern shoots in and bounces Muller off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fern passes Muller's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Fern throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Fern is keen to just control but Muller is a slippery customer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Muller takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Muller connects with a nice short shot to Fern's temple.

Lucius Fern showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Muller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Fern shoots in looking for a takedown. Muller tries to sprawl out of it but Fern keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Muller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fern shoots in but Muller avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Muller stuffs the takedown attempt from Fern. Fern gets slowly back to his feet.
Laslo Muller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucius Fern.

and Fern counters with a big head kick but Muller shrugs it off.

Muller thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Muller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fern keeps working.

Muller is looking to take a break and control but Fern is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fern shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee warns Muller that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Laslo Muller has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Fern has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
