The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mac Cumhaill takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mac Cumhaill fails with the takedown
and Mac Cumhaill takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mac Cumhaill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Penn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mac Cumhaill somewhat.
Mac Cumhaill dives in for a single leg takedown but Penn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A little jabbing left from Penn on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oisin Mac Cumhaill . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Penn lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Mac Cumhaill shoots in for a takedown but Penn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A nice side step and Penn releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Penn punishes Mac Cumhaill 's body with a nice straight punch.
Mac Cumhaill is breathing heavily.
Penn scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Penn lands a nice shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A jab lands there for Penn.
BAM! Penn delivers a spinning backfist that drops Mac Cumhaill like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
