Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jag Smits (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris shoots in and drives through. Smits sprawls well.
Morris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smits but Smits pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Morris feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Smits working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Morris doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Morris manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Morris loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Smits scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Morris land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Morris stands and salutes the crowd.
