Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Igor Von Baron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ned Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sampson has chosen Killem Killem as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ned Sampson enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Baron lands with a thumping leg kick.
Von Baron misses with a head kick.
Sampson tries to clinch there but Von Baron circles away.
Sampson fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Von Baron counters with a big head kick but Sampson shrugs it off.
Sampson closes the distance but Von Baron moves to the side
and Von Baron counters with a nice kick to the body.
Sampson looks gassed!
Sampson stuffs the takedown attempt from Von Baron. Von Baron gets slowly back to his feet.
Von Baron changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sampson tries to avoid it but Von Baron manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sampson to the ground. Sampson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sampson looks to clinch
and Von Baron counters with a nice body kick.
Von Baron misses with a few strikes there.
Von Baron misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Von Baron throws a head kick but Sampson moves out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Von Baron.
Sampson avoids the head kick by Von Baron.
Von Baron throws a head kick that Sampson semi-blocks.

Von Baron darts in and clinches Sampson up against the cage.

Von Baron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Von Baron counters with a body kick that stops Sampson in his tracks momentarily.
Von Baron throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sampson tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Von Baron counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sampson is lucky that one didn't land flush.
A head kick from Von Baron lands but Sampson takes it in his stride.
Von Baron throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Von Baron shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Igor Von Baron. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Von Baron will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Von Baron closes the distance and clinches up with Sampson, looking for a takedown. Von Baron pushes Sampson against the cage but Sampson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Von Baron shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sampson as he jumps to the side.

and Von Baron counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sampson's guard now.
Sampson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sampson wants to get back to his feet but Von Baron is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Von Baron drops back looking for a leg! Sampson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sampson manages to kick Von Baron off! Von Baron jumps back into Sampson's guard.
Sampson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Von Baron drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Von Baron seems to have locked his on tight now - Sampson screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Von Baron, as he picks up the win!
