The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paco has managed to clinch.
Clark dodges an elbow strike from Paco.
Clark fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Clark jumps guard but Paco turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Paco is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Clark gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Paco dives in and grabs Clark's left leg, looking for a takedown. Clark pushes down on Paco's head and hops out.

Nice takedown defense from Clark. No joy for Paco on that attempt.
Clark tries to close the distance and clinch up but Paco swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Paco looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Paco shoots in and drives through. Clark sprawls well.

and Clark counters with a head kick. That will keep Paco thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Paco's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Paco duly obliges.

That was a close round but I would say that Kareem Clark will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Paco holds on and takes a little breather.
