Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jai Hale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Owen Murray!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hale misses with a low kick.

Hale shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Murray is trying to defend but Hale finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Murray is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hale pulls his head out easily.
Hale seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Murray has hold of Hale's hands but Hale slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hale is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Murray has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Murray looking for submissions off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hale connects with a nice short shot to Murray's temple.
Hale landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Hale moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Murray.
Murray gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Murray manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Hale has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Murray has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hale can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hale not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Murray looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Murray has his feet on Hale's thighs here. He's pushed Hale off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hale screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
