The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carter goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cuccureddu turns into him and now he's in Carter's guard.

Justice Carter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Carter throws a combination that misses

Carter manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Carter goes for a double leg but Cuccureddu avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cuccureddu continues to drive forward.
Cuccureddu drops down looking for a counter takedown but Carter sprawls and moves away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Carter. That's going to slow Cuccureddu down.
Carter tries to close the distance and clinch but Cuccureddu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Carter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Carter uses his free foot to push down on Cuccureddu's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cuccureddu.

Carter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cuccureddu looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cuccureddu looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cuccureddu!

Carter tries to bench press Cuccureddu off him but Cuccureddu keeps the position.

Carter has a hand on Cuccureddu's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Cuccureddu takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Well Carter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
