Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomaev swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Magomaev throws a hook to the side of Tanagawa's head but Tanagawa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tanagawa appears to be looking for a big counter.
Tanagawa tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Magomaev defends well and Tanagawa ends up having to push Magomaev into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Tanagawa misses with a double jab.
Magomaev throws a hook but Tanagawa blocks it.
Magomaev slaps away a takedown attempt from Tanagawa, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Tanagawa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Magomaev is letting Tanagawa control him for a moment.

Magomaev takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Tanagawa moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Tanagawa looks up at the clock and then as Magomaev takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tanagawa smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The referee asks Tanagawa politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tanagawa prefers to stall for the moment though.
Tanagawa has hold of Magomaev 's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Magomaev tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Tanagawa cranks the arm and Magomaev screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Magomaev , who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kensei Tanagawa!
