Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Arlington (ranked 3828 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Irwin (ranked 20371 p4p, 0 weight class). Arlington's entrance music is Unchained Melody. A fine choice. On his way into the cage it seems that Jason Arlington has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jason Arlington seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arlington tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Irwin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That kick from Irwin tenderised Arlington's leg. Arlington is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ethan Irwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arlington ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Irwin moves away.
Irwin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Arlington in his tracks.
Arlington misses with a hook. Irwin ducked under it nicely.
Irwin doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Arlington takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Arlington takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Arlington manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Irwin on his heels. He'll look to pass Irwin's guard now, I'm sure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Arlington is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Irwin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Arlington is trying to move to mount but Irwin reverses beautifully and ends up in Arlington's guard.

Arlington is looking for a triangle but Irwin pushes his legs off easily.

Arlington has his foot on Irwin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Irwin works his way back into a safe position though.
Irwin slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Arlington is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Arlington looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Irwin has picked Arlington up and slammed him! Arlington can't keep hold of the triangle and Irwin manages to pass to side control!

and Irwin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Irwin has closed the distance and engaged Arlington in a clinch.

Irwin tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Arlington's elbow.
Irwin lands with a short shot to the head.
Irwin lands a left hand that snaps the head of Arlington backwards.

Arlington has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Irwin uses from the top position.

Arlington isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Irwin stacks Arlington on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Irwin!

Arlington pushes a forearm under Irwin's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Irwin is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
