The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devira dives in and scores a takedown into Roy's guard.
Devira stands and steps away. Roy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Johnny Devira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Devira fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Roy sprawls well initially but Devira persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Roy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Devira's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Devira's back!

Devira tries to roll but Roy sticks to his back.
Roy has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Devira! Can he survive? No! He's out! Roy gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
