Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Romeo Harris (ranked 5536 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kick Kickboxer (ranked 5469 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kickboxer tries to avoid it but Harris manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kickboxer to the ground. Kickboxer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Harris.

and Kickboxer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Romeo Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Harris closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kickboxer circles away.

Harris jumps guard but Kickboxer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

A right hook to the body lands for Kickboxer.

Harris drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kickboxer pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kickboxer pivots, looking for a leg kick but Harris is out of range and Kickboxer settles back down.

Harris attempts a counter takedown but Kickboxer avoids it well and moves away.
Kickboxer wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Harris is breathing heavily.
Harris will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Harris is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kickboxer lands a body punch.
Kickboxer scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Kickboxer lands a hook that snaps the head of Harris backwards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A frustrated look appears on Kickboxer's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Kickboxer is pressed up against the cage. Harris has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kickboxer down to the mat. Kickboxer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kickboxer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Harris. Harris circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Harris shoots in but no luck this time.

Harris has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kickboxer!
Kickboxer is trying to escape the mount but Harris keeps good control and instead manages to take Kickboxer's back.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kick Kickboxer dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Harris checks a leg kick.

Harris manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kickboxer on his heels. He'll look to pass Kickboxer's guard now, I'm sure.
Kickboxer wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Harris manages to pass to side control.
