Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Larraza closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Larraza is pressing down on MacDougall's thigh, looking to free his foot. MacDougall is holding on for now.

MacDougall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
MacDougall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Larraza throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. MacDougall tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Larraza is in MacDougall's guard.

Larraza has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

MacDougall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Larraza on the ground.

Larraza changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. MacDougall looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Larraza is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down MacDougall's shoulder. That is not cool.

It looks like Larraza might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Larraza decides to stand back up.

MacDougall gets tackled into the cage by Larraza. Larraza maintains the clinch.

Larraza has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics MacDougall uses from the top position.

MacDougall wants to get back to his feet but Larraza drags him back down.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Larraza has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
MacDougall takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

MacDougall bucks up and tries to throw Larraza off but instead Larraza has got his back!

MacDougall is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Larraza is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. MacDougall is defending well though. Larraza let's go of the attempt for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
