Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Neves (ranked 909 p4p, 113 weight class) and Ralphie Maldonado (ranked 2089 p4p, 243 weight class). Neves comes to the cage accompanied by Emicida - Sorriso Favela. This should be fireworks!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ralphie Maldonado!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neves drives through and clinches with Maldonado against the cage.
Neves takes a shot to the head.
Neves is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Maldonado to keep the fight standing.
Maldonado wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Neves tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Maldonado just stands there and leans against the cage.
Neves tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Maldonado smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Neves. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheers as Maldonado lands an impressive looking overhand right. Neves doesn't seem phased though.
Maldonado swats away the attempt to clinch by Neves.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Maldonado misses with the head strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neves fails to pull guard.
Maldonado misses with a hook from the clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Maldonado.
Maldonado breaks from the clinch.
Maldonado bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Neves's head.
Neves looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Neves takes the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maldonado pushes Neves back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Maldonado is trying to force a seperation but Neves has the dominant position.
Maldonado lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Neves fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Neves pulls guard successfully.
Maldonado avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Neves might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Neves looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Maldonado wants to stand but Neves is controlling his posture from full guard.
Maldonado must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Maldonado has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Neves to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Maldonado is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Neves pulls down on the head and he's put Maldonado to sleep! This one is all over!
