Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carpenter forces Xxx back against the cage and clinches.
Carpenter looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Nice body punch from Xxx - that landed with a thud.
Xxx has Carpenter pressed against the cage, preventing Carpenter from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Xxx's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Xxx misses with a hook to the ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carpenter wants to get back to striking at distance but Xxx won't allow it.
Xxx misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Carpenter.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Carpenter tries to keep at a distance but Xxx has taken the fight into the clinch.

Carpenter tries to break free but Xxx pushes him back against the cage.
Carpenter is trying to push Xxx away but Xxx has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Xxx tries to work over Carpenter's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Carpenter wants to take the fight to the mat but Xxx manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Xxx tries a body shot but Carpenter blocks it.
Xxx misses with a punch to the body.
Xxx lands a body punch in the clinch.
Xxx lands a left hand that snaps the head of Carpenter backwards.

Carpenter has had enough of the clinch but Xxx keeps him there for the moment.

It looks like Cristopher Carpenter has been cut.
Carpenter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Xxx moves away.
Xxx is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Carpenter with a body shot.

Xxx closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Carpenter fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Carpenter wants to stand back up but Xxx manages to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Xxx prevents Carpenter from escaping the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Carpenter is looking to reverse the position.
Xxx decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Carpenter swats away the attempt to clinch by Xxx.
Carpenter misses with a takedown attempt - Xxx sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Xxx with the counter takedown but Carpenter avoids it easily.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Xxx fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carpenter, pushing him back against the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Carpenter goes for a double leg but Xxx avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Xxx continues to drive forward.
Xxx drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Carpenter defends it well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Xxx keeps control of Carpenter as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Carpenter wants to get back to striking at distance but Xxx won't allow it.
Xxx breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Xxx Xxx seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Carpenter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Carpenter throws a sloppy head kick
and Xxx makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Cristopher Carpenter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Xxx Xxx comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Xxx has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
