Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mikel Miles (ranked 7794 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Jr Rabago (ranked 5155 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabago misses with a double jab
and Miles counters with a three punch combo that has Rabago backing up. Rabago nods at Miles to acknowledge the strikes.
Rabago rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miles moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rabago swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Miles is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rabago falls off balance throwing a combination

and Miles holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Oh Miles is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Miles jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rabago walks away with a smile on his face. Miles gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Miles seems to have got his legs back now.
Rabago misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Miles.

Rabago wants to stand but Miles has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Miles wants to control but Rabago is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Rabago stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Miles keeps control of Rabago as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rabago ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miles moves away.
Rabago stalks Miles and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Miles's face. Miles staggers backwards, shaken.
Rabago misses with an uppercut.
Rabago misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rabago lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miles circles away quickly and effectively.

Rabago wants to stand but Miles is controlling his arm.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
