Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Baly (ranked 6372 p4p, 425 weight class) and Richard Richards (ranked 2958 p4p, 284 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mohammed Baly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards has taken the fight to the clinch.
Baly tries for a takedown. No joy.
Baly goes for a takedown attempt but Richards pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Richards changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Baly looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Baly is looking to regain half guard here but Richards keeps moving and retains side control.
Check out the look on Richards's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Baly is working to avoid the ground and pound but Richards connects with a decent elbow.
Richards really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baly. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Baly parries the strikes from Richards easily there. Richards is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Baly to escape.
Richards grinds an elbow into Baly's temple.
Baly gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Richards content to control rather than advance.
Baly tries to roll over but Richards keeps him under control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Richards is stalling here. Baly is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Richards seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Baly has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Richards throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Baly is working Richards over with some ground and pound from side control.
You can see the frustration on Richards's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Baly wants to control but Richards is keeping busy.

Richards seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Richards connects with a nice short shot to Baly's temple.

Baly is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Richards must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Richards shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Baly is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Richards is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Richards throws a big right hand that misses.

Baly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Richards darts in and clinches Baly up against the cage.
Baly drops down looking for an ankle pick but Richards pulls his leg out and moves away.
Richards shoots in for a takedown but Baly shows good takedown defense.
Richards rushes Baly and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Richards throws a punch but it's blocked by Baly.
Richards has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Baly is trying to keep an underhook but Richards manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Richards is keen to just control but Baly is a slippery customer.
Richards thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Baly's head.
Baly is looking for a sweep. Richards is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baly wants to sweep but Richards has passed to side control!
Baly is trying to control Richards's posture but Richards avoids it.

Richards throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Richards tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Richards works to advance to full mount. Baly defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Richards cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Baly takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Richards lands a big elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
BOOM! Richards connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Richards looking to finish Baly with some ground and pound. This is bad for Baly!
Baly is rocked!
Baly is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Oh Baly is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Richards has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Richards lands a big elbow - Baly is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Baly is forced to tap out!
