The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobb throws a head kick but Van Kalvenhaar moves out of range.
Cobb leaves Van Kalvenhaar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Van Kalvenhaar shoots for a takedown but Cobb saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cobb wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Van Kalvenhaar lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Flin Van Kalvenhaar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cobb drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Cobb wants to control from the top but Van Kalvenhaar keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cobb looking to sit in guard and control but Van Kalvenhaar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Cobb pushes Van Kalvenhaar off and scrambles back to his feet.

Van Kalvenhaar goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Chang Cobb has been cut.

and Van Kalvenhaar counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Cobb down! Van Kalvenhaar is looking to finish but Cobb is intelligently defending himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Van Kalvenhaar keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Van Kalvenhaar and the ref steps in to end the fight! Van Kalvenhaar can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
