Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monroe Tanner (ranked 6978 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Two (ranked 5265 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Two pinned against the cage. Two gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Two is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Tanner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Tanner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Two on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tanner wants to get back to full guard.
Two wants to free his trapped foot but Tanner is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Well, if Two is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Two is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Tanner manages to get to full guard.

Two lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Two slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Two tries to stand but Tanner is controlling from the bottom.
Two sitting in guard here, content to control.
Two's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

and Two counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Tanner shoots for a takedown but Two saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jake Two seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Two shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tanner's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Two shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Two looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Tanner is trying to stand up here but Two is controlling him well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Two has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Two. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Two decides to stand and escape the position.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tanner.
Two changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Two is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tanner's half guard.

Two is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tanner defends it well.
Jake Two has got the better of the ground game so far.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Two connects with a nice short shot to Tanner's temple.

Tanner is defending against the submission attempts here by Two.

Two is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Tanner is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
