PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Tom Harris (ranked 1317 p4p, 186 weight class) and Antonio Luna (ranked 372 p4p, 53 weight class). Luna has chosen Noypi by Bamboo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tom Harris!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Antonio Luna!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luna dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Good standup being displayed there by Harris as he connects with a hook.
Luna misses with a hook.
Harris looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Harris scores with a body shot.

Luna catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Harris stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Harris walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!

It looks like Tom Harris has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Harris connects with a nice looking jab.
Jab, jab by Harris - just one landing.
Luna throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Luna throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Harris lands with a nice body kick.
Luna misses with an uppercut.
Harris throws a body kick that misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Luna! But no joy.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Harris.
Harris thuds a left hand into Luna's body.
Luna uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Harris.
Harris buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Luna scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Harris to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Luna away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Harris got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!

Harris is rocked!
Luna missing with a left hand there. Harris was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Oh Harris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Luna cracks Harris with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Harris is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Harris is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harris tries to get into range but Luna steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Harris! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Luna scores the big KO victory!
