The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz looking to score a takedown here. Vasquez is defending well but Diaz drives through and ends up in Vasquez's guard.

You can see the frustration on Diaz's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Vasquez is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Diaz has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Vasquez has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Diaz taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Vasquez doesn't care though - he's delighted!
