PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Laxa Tiv (ranked 3126 p4p, 157 weight class) and Blaze Blount (ranked 6903 p4p, 262 weight class). Tiv comes to the ring accompanied by I have a bad case of Diarrhea - Japanese learning English. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blount dodges the punch combination from Tiv.
Tiv throws a right and a left that both miss.

Tiv shoots in looking for a takedown. Blount tries to sprawl out of it but Tiv keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Blount manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Blount has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

We've been hearing reports that Tiv has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Tiv shoots in looking for a takedown but Blount manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tiv's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Blount shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Tiv eats them both and turns towards Blount to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Tiv closes the distance and clinches up with Blount, looking for a takedown. Tiv pushes Blount against the ropes but Blount circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Blount lands a head shot.
Blount throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Tiv crashing down! Tiv tries to stagger back to his feet but Blount just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Tiv asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
