The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blayton blocks a jab.

Blayton darts in and clinches Cole up against the cage.

Cole breaks from the clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Cole.
Blayton tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Blayton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cole looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Blayton throws a strike aimed at the side of Cole's head but Cole avoids it well.
Cole is looking to regain half guard here but Blayton keeps moving and retains side control.
Blayton tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Blayton is trying to ground and pound but Cole uses the momentary lack of control by Blayton to regain half guard.
Blayton tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cole knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Blayton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cole doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Blayton.
Cole could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Cole looks like he's trying to stand up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blayton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Blayton is working for a submission of some sort.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The fighters are battling for position here. Cole manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Cole wants to sweep but no luck.

Blayton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cole has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blayton has managed to get both his arms back between Cole's legs - danger averted.

He's locked it up tight! Blayton's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Cole picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
