Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Herring (ranked 7265 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo De Santa (ranked 6249 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Ben Watson and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Santa lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by De Santa.
It looks like Dwayne Herring has been cut.
De Santa misses with a wild combination.
Herring forces De Santa back against the cage and clinches.
Herring ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Herring no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Herring manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
De Santa is trying to maintain a safe position but Herring gets an underhook and turns De Santa into the cage.

Herring seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down De Santa for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Herring tries to score a power double leg takedown but De Santa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Herring somewhat.

That was a close round but I would say that Dwayne Herring will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
