The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Jimenez enables Westermann to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jimenez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Westermann postures up in Jimenez's guard and throws a big left but Jimenez blocks it.
Westermann is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Westermann is sitting in close to Jimenez's body. Jimenez has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Westermann is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Westermann is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jimenez.
