The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Taylor.
McCahon throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

McCahon throws a jab but it's blocked by Taylor.

Taylor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

McCahon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Taylor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

McCahon moves in looking to clinch but Taylor pushes him off.

McCahon lunges at Taylor with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Taylor's hand.

McCahon connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Taylor some visible discomfort.

McCahon scores with a takedown into Taylor's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
McCahon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Taylor is proving hard to escape from.
McCahon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Taylor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCahon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

McCahon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

McCahon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Taylor is looking to escape.
McCahon wants to pass the guard but Taylor is defending well.

Taylor pushes McCahon off and gets back to his feet.
McCahon misses with a double jab.
McCahon slips a straight right by Taylor.
clark McCahon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCahon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Taylor pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Taylor forces McCahon back against the cage and clinches.

Taylor manages to break the clinch.
Taylor feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to McCahon's calf.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Taylor fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McCahon.

Taylor drives through and clinches with McCahon against the cage.

Taylor wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

McCahon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McCahon scores with a nice right hand.
McCahon misses with an attempted mid kick.
Taylor has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McCahon finds it's way round the side to connect with Taylor's head.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Taylor in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
McCahon lands with an uppercut that bounces Taylor off the cage and back into rage.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McCahon holds on and takes a little breather.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee stands the fighters back up. clark McCahon just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Taylor throws a nice outside leg kick.
McCahon avoids a punch combination nicely.
Taylor lands a head kick. McCahon smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
McCahon is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
McCahon throws a series of punches but Taylor avoids them all with ease.
