Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Adams (ranked 3785 p4p, 88 weight class) and Callan Elijah (ranked 3634 p4p, 80 weight class). Adams comes to the cage accompanied by stiff upper lip. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Elijah's coach down at Temp Spar Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Elijah's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

George Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Callan Elijah.

Adams moves into range and clinches up with Elijah.
Adams blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Adams definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Adams wants the takedown. Elijah is fighting it off but Adams persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Elijah's guard against the cage.
Adams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Elijah in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Adams tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Elijah!
