The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goodman tries to keep at a distance but Brown has taken the fight into the clinch.
Goodman throws a punch but it's blocked by Brown.
Goodman on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Goodman lands with a short shot to the head.

Brown manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Brown pulls Goodman in close to prevent any damage.

Brown escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Goodman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Brown has his hands on Goodman's head, controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Goodman defends it easily.

Brown has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Goodman would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Goodman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Goodman wants to stand and escape but instead Brown has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goodman is looking to stand up but Brown isn't so interested in that idea.

Brown is nestled in close to Goodman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Brown jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Goodman manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Brown swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
