Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Barren Von Braun (ranked 4795 p4p, 473 weight class) and Topher Curtis (ranked 3599 p4p, 402 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Braun connects with a high kick.
Von Braun throws a right hand that Curtis ducks under and follows up with a left that Curtis also avoids with ease.
Von Braun shoots in looking for a takedown. Curtis tries to sprawl out of it but Von Braun keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Curtis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Curtis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Curtis has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Curtis might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
