The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harvey missing with a left hand there. Casaus was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Casaus throws out a counter right but Harvey avoids it with no problem.
Casaus instigates a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Casaus.
Casaus looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Casaus lands a nice uppercut.
Harvey doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Casaus misses with some punches.
Casaus lands a left hand that snaps the head of Harvey backwards.
Casaus lands a body punch in the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Casaus.

Harvey throws a punch but it's blocked by Casaus.
Casaus lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Harvey tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Casaus smiles and moves away.

and Casaus counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Harvey throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Harvey misses with an uppercut. Casaus saw that one coming.
Casaus scores with a jab to the head.
Casaus misses with a straight left.
Harvey throws a right hand that misses
and Casaus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Harvey throws a looping overhand right but Casaus ducks down to avoid it.
Harvey has been working on his balance at Temp Spar Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Casaus.
Casaus throws a jab when Harvey was well out of range.
Harvey moves forwards but Casaus connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Casaus clobbers Harvey with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Casaus slips under a jab from Harvey.

Harvey rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Casaus counters with a stiff right hand.
Harvey throws a lazy right hand but Casaus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Harvey shoots in and drives through. Casaus sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonathan Harvey. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Casaus paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Casaus tests Harvey's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Jonathan Harvey has been cut.
Casaus sends Harvey crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Casaus is motioning to the referee to let Harvey up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Harvey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Harvey walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Casaus swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Aaron Casaus!
After the fight, Aaron Casaus was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
