Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Nose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benji Cada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benji Cada told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nose keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Cada slips under a jab from Nose.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice takedown defense from Nose. No joy for Cada on that attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cada avoids a punch combination nicely.

Cada tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nose swivels and escapes.

Nose decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Nose has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Nose looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Nose putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Nose cracks Cada with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Nose is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cada can't escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cada tries to lock up and control but Nose gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

and Nose counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cada won't be happy with that.
Nose scores with a couple of short elbows.

Cada takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cada can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nose cracks Cada with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Nose wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cada keeps working.
Cada is looking to reverse the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nose has an Americana. Cada didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Nose is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Nose hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
