The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West Va takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
West Va scores with a jab to the jaw.
Cook really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
West Va moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
West Va swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Cook moves into the clinch.
West Va working hard to break the clinch.

Cook's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
West Va throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from West Va - that will leave a mark!

Cook instigates a clinch.
Cook wants to take the fight to the mat but West Va manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Cook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cook breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sloppy strikes from West Va. Those never looked like landing.
Cook shoots in but no luck this time.
Cook avoids the head kick by West Va.
An inside leg kick from Cook misses.

Cook shoots in and bounces West Va off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Cook passes West Va's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

West Va is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Cook has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! West Va is tapping! This fight is all over!
