Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Brown (ranked 2422 p4p, 271 weight class) and Lou Nahtic (ranked 4333 p4p, 418 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Shook Ones Pt II. Nahtic has chosen Sleeping My Day Away as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nahtic throws a low kick but it's checked well by Brown.

Brown creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nahtic sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brown connects with a nice short shot to Nahtic's temple.

Brown closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nahtic to the mat! Nahtic manages to get full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nahtic throws a right hand that Brown ducks under and follows up with a left that Brown also avoids with ease.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It seemed like Nahtic was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Brown changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nahtic looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
John Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Brown lands a big elbow - Nahtic is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Brown!

John Brown got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
