The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Sotobe misses.
Johannsen throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Sotobe to counter with a crisp jab.
Sotobe throws a hook to the side of Johannsen's head but Johannsen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Johannsen dives in and scores a takedown into Sotobe's guard.

Johannsen slips a nice elbow through Sotobe's hands, connecting with Sotobe's forehead.
Sotobe has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johannsen is working away from the top position though.
Johannsen is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sotobe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Johannsen has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Temp Spar Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Johannsen postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Sotobe in real trouble here! The ref calls for Sotobe to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
