The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barker gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kestenis trying to stall but Barker improves his position.
Barker jumps guard but Kestenis turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Kestenis jumps into guard, dragging Barker to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Barker throws a big right hand that misses.
Kestenis trying to strike off his back.
Kestenis has momentary wrist control but Barker slips an elbow through the middle.
Barker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Barker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kestenis wants to control but Barker is keeping busy and won't allow it.
