Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lyman Berg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Takedown Mcgee!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgee looks to land a left hand but Berg moved out of range nicely.
Mcgee throws a right and a left that Berg avoids nicely.
Mcgee will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Berg feinted there with a counter leg kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mcgee enables Berg to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mcgee manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Berg being controlled here momentarily.
Berg seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Berg wants to control from the top but Mcgee keeps moving.
Berg lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mcgee is looking to sweep but instead, Berg has passed into half guard.
Berg slows the pace down in half guard.
Berg seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Berg is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mcgee has managed to free his arm - good work.

Berg seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mcgee is looking to control Berg's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mcgee avoid being mounted?
Berg thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mcgee's head.
Mcgee tries to roll over but Berg keeps him under control.
Berg thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Mcgee wants to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mcgee misses with a shot to the body
and Berg counters with a one-two to the body.
Mcgee with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Berg is breathing heavily.
Mcgee motions for Berg to come forward. Mcgee throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Takedown Mcgee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mcgee connects with a nice looking jab.


It looks like Lyman Berg has been cut.
Mcgee throws a solid leg kick but Berg takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mcgee.
Berg throws a big counter combination but Mcgee scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Berg keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mcgee lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Berg falls backwards - clearly groggy! Mcgee dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
