Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nigel Yates!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yates scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Yates tries to advance to mount but Beck instead regains half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Yates manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Beck on his heels. He'll look to pass Beck's guard now, I'm sure.
Yates sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Beck's guard.
Beck is not content to let Yates control the position.
Yates content to control rather than advance.
Yates is thwarting Beck's attempts to control the position.
Yates tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Yates is working for a kimura but Beck is defending it quite comfortably.
Yates missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Beck wants to control but Yates is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Yates thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Beck's head.

Beck tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Yates just stands there and leans against the cage.
Beck tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Yates tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Beck smiles and moves away.

Yates closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Yates misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Yates scores with a couple of short elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yates is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Beck has escaped the position, nice work there.

Nigel Yates has got the better of the ground game so far.
Yates is staying tight to Beck's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Yates tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Yates decides to stand back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Yates gets a clinch.
Beck misses with the head strike.
Yates lands an uppercut.

Yates breaks the clinch.
Yates tries a head kick but it misses.
Beck tries to counter by clinching up but Yates breaks away and moves out of range.

Yates moves into range and clinches up with Beck.

Yates breaks from the clinch.
Yates throws a left and a right that both miss

and Beck counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Beck misses with a knee strike.
Beck fails to pull the fight into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nigel Yates showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Yates defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Beck.
Yates is looking for the big counter here.
Yates closes the distance and clinches up with Beck, looking for a takedown. Yates pushes Beck against the cage but Beck circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jeromy Beck is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Yates chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Yates lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Beck backs up against the cage.


Beck is rocked!

Yates closes the distance looking for a takedown. Beck stuffs it but Yates still has hold of him. Yates picks Beck up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Yates slams Beck to the floor and that's really hurt Beck - he doesn't know where he is! Yates throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nigel Yates!
