The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carter rushes Page and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Carter takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Page takes a shot to the head.
Carter stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Carter manages to pull guard.
Carter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Page is controlling him.
Page seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Page.
Carter lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Page backwards.

Carter breaks from the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Carter is defended easily by Page.
Page rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Carter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Page counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Page connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Carter's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Page connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Carter scrambles back to his feet.

A close second round but Venom Page will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Venom Page seems to be getting the better of the standup.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Page lands a really nice looking cross but Carter seems unphased.
Carter tries to close the distance and clinch but Page swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Carter tries to bum rush Page with a series of wild strikes but Page uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

I would just about give that final round to Venom Page.
