Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Turnbull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marshall Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Turnbull!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moss looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Turnbull!

Moss jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Turnbull manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Moss trying to control the position but Turnbull is working away.
Turnbull wants to get back to his feet.
Moss is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Turnbull will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Moss thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Moss is looking to take a break and control but Turnbull is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Moss working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Turnbull is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Moss has just dragged him back down to the mat.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Moss decides to stand up, so the ref orders Turnbull to his feet.
Turnbull keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Turnbull throws a head kick that misses.

Moss shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Moss showed some decent athleticism there.

Moss gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Moss is breathing heavily.
Moss will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Turnbull pushes Moss up against the cage in a clinch.

Turnbull escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Turnbull throws a jab but it's blocked by Moss.
Sam Turnbull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turnbull tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Turnbull moves into the clinch.

Turnbull escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Moss shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Turnbull as he avoids it easily.

Turnbull throws the left hand but Moss avoids the punch easily.
Moss closes the distance and clinches up with Turnbull, looking for a takedown. Moss pushes Turnbull against the cage but Turnbull circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Turnbull tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moss swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sam Turnbull is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Turnbull misses with a hook. Moss ducked under it nicely.
Turnbull lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moss circles away quickly and effectively.
A cross from Turnbull lands.
Moss fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A bone on bone clash there as Moss blocks the leg kick.

Moss on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Turnbull. Turnbull obviously looking to wear him down.
Moss tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Moss tries to clinch there but Turnbull circles away.

Moss tries to keep at a distance but Turnbull has taken the fight into the clinch.
Turnbull tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Turnbull using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Turnbull breaks the clinch.
Moss throws a head kick but Turnbull moves out of range.
A good leg kick by Turnbull.
Moss throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Turnbull's waist but Turnbull gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Moss off to one side.

Moss needs to keep his hands up - Turnbull had a free shot at his head there.

Moss shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Moss's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Moss is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Moss avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Turnbull keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Moss lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Some bone on bone action there as Moss checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Moss scores with a three punch combo!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Turnbull, as that shot connected.
Moss ducks under a wild hook from Turnbull.
A solid leg kick lands there for Turnbull.

Turnbull drives through and clinches with Moss against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Moss lands a right hand that snaps the head of Turnbull backwards.
Turnbull gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Moss.

Turnbull breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Moss fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marshall Moss. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Moss gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Turnbull.
Turnbull misses with a wild combination.

Moss drives through with a takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Turnbull can do anything to dispel that myth.
Moss controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Moss has gone for a leg lock! Turnbull slips out almost immediately though and dives into Moss's guard.

Moss is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Moss avoids the head kick by Turnbull.
Marshall Moss is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No luck for Moss with that takedown attempt.
Turnbull lands the left hand.
Turnbull throws a sloppy head kick

and Moss counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Moss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Turnbull looks to throw the jab but Moss is out of range.
Moss moves out of range of the strikes.
No joy there for Turnbull, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Turnbull stuffs the takedown.

Moss shoots in and bounces Turnbull off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Moss wants to control from the top but Turnbull keeps moving.

Moss gets to his feet. Turnbull looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Turnbull lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Turnbull is looking to clinch.
Turnbull tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Moss gets a takedown into half guard.
Turnbull taking some punishment here, with Moss in his half guard.
Moss wants to take a breather but Turnbull is having none of it.
Marshall Moss overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Moss is stalling here. Turnbull is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Moss seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Turnbull has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Turnbull prevents Moss from getting the reversal.
Moss wants to control but Turnbull is having none of it.

Turnbull can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Moss is looking to escape.

Turnbull gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Moss shoots in but no luck this time.

Turnbull misses the jab.
Turnbull swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Moss has managed to clinch.
Moss tries for a takedown. No joy.
Turnbull landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Turnbull breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Turnbull waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Moss.
Sam Turnbull has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Turnbull tries to work over Moss's front leg with a kick but Moss checks it.
Turnbull misses with a wild combination.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Turnbull looks to land a right hand but Moss moved out of range.
Turnbull tries to clinch up.
Marshall Moss is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Moss clinches up with Turnbull and pushes him back against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Marshall Moss showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Moss, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
