Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Humberto Watts (ranked 5213 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 6079 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Humberto Watts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watts doesn't manage to clinch there - Lesnar circles away.
Lesnar is looking to land body kicks.
Watts appears to be looking for a big counter.

Lesnar has closed the distance and engaged Watts in a clinch.

Lesnar jumps guard and drags Watts to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lesnar is wriggling around but Watts manages to pass to half guard.
Watts working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Watts takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Lesnar is looking to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnar wants to improve his position but Watts is controlling well.
Lesnar is refusing to be controlled, as Watts sits in half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lesnar can do anything to dispel that myth.
Watts wants to control but Lesnar is keeping him busy.

Lesnar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Watts is working away from the top position though.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lesnar regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Watts.

Watts keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lesnar's head.

Lesnar is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Watts scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Watts is looking for a kimura here.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Watts connects with a nice short shot to Lesnar's temple.

Watts looks to land a strike but Lesnar avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watts working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lesnar's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watts throws a big right hand that misses.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Watts missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Lesnar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Lesnar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Watts connects with a couple of short punches.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Watts content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Lesnar thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Lesnar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Watts is trying to defend but Lesnar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Watts tries to kick Lesnar off in order to stand up. Lesnar Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Watts is looking to regain half guard here but Lesnar keeps moving and retains side control.
Watts wants to get back to his feet but Lesnar drags him back down.

Humberto Watts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Watts is trying to work for a sweep but Lesnar has mounted him!
Watts keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Watts sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Lesnar lands strikes from half guard.
Watts tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Watts looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Watts is not content to let Lesnar control the position.
Watts has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Watts is concentrating on defense, preventing Lesnar from advancing position.

Watts is working an open guard so Lesnar takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Lesnar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lesnar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Watts bucks up and tries to throw Lesnar off but instead Lesnar has got his back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Watts looking very determined here, making life difficult for Lesnar.

Lesnar gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.


Watts is rocked!

Lesnar has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Watts! Can he survive? No! He's out! Lesnar gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
