The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turturro closes the distance and pushes Kulli back into the cage.

Kulli is pushing down on Turturro's leg trying to pass to half guard. Turturro is fighting to maintain full guard but Kulli has managed to sneak the leg through.

Turturro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kulli defends it easily.

Kulli got a little sloppy there for a moment and Turturro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kulli has managed to get both his arms back between Turturro's legs - danger averted.

Turturro isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kulli stacks Turturro on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kulli!
You can see the frustration on Turturro's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Turturro is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kulli is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Turturro is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kulli stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turturro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kulli has closed the distance and engaged Turturro in a clinch.

Turturro ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Turturro no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Turturro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kulli gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Turturro is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Kulli frees his head nicely. Oh but Turturro has switched to an armbar! Kulli is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
