Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jomar Galang (ranked 2920 p4p, 312 weight class) and Chris Buchanan (ranked 3079 p4p, 325 weight class). Galang comes to the cage accompanied by No Other Name. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galang waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Buchanan.

Buchanan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Galang throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Buchanan needs to keep his hands up - Galang had a free shot at his head there.
Galang throws a shot from downtown. Buchanan moves away and avoids it.
Buchanan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Galang.

Buchanan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Buchanan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Buchanan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Galang with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Buchanan lands with a punch from half guard.
Buchanan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Buchanan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Galang is staying active underneath Buchanan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Galang is looking to escape.
Buchanan lands strikes from half guard.
Galang is trying to get back to full guard.

Galang is pressing down on Buchanan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Buchanan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Galang's head.
Buchanan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Galang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Buchanan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Galang can't keep his opponent in guard - Buchanan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Galang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Buchanan on the ground.
Buchanan is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Galang is hurt! He's hurt bad - Buchanan fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Galang from any more punishment! Congratulations to Buchanan! Great finish!

In his post fight interview, Chris Buchanan started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Jomar Galang was interviewed post fight and said 'I dunno sounds like a lot of effort to me. I
think I'd prefer red dead 2 and pornhub'.
